Dedicated to the lakeside roadway that runs along the western coast of Lake Winnipeg, Samson finds beauty and eloquence in unexpected ways. Only the Weakerthans frontman can take three songs about video games set to a Bach hymn, hockey players from Riverton, MB deserving of Hall Of Fame remembrance, and a Manitoban twist on the downright Shakespearian Krabapple/Skinner love story and make them sound cohesive. No matter how good you expect this to be, it's better and more impressive than that.
